Someone to Claim

~ I received no compensation and opinions are 100% my own or my family. ~

Never miss out on future posts by following Seaside Book Nook.

Synopsis (from Amazon):  From USA Today bestselling author Michelle Major comes a steamy second-chance, age-gap small-town romance about a sunshine bookstore owner, the country music legend she never expected to see again, and the one-tent adventure that changes everything.

Sloane
I spent fifteen months letting cancer define me. Now I'm hiking into the Montana wilderness to track down the author whose book kept me going in my darkest days and to prove I'm more than the girl everyone has to worry about.

The last person I expect to find me on the trail is the country music legend with a voice (and body) that wrecked me during two unforgettable nights in Nashville. Only I walked away from him because a man who lost his mother to cancer couldn’t possibly see a future with a woman still fighting it.

But Jensen Grant followed me into the mountains, and out here there's no more hiding.

Jensen
Sloane Winslow turned my world upside down then disappeared without even telling me her real name. Fourteen months later, I still haven't figured out how to forget her.

When I find out she's heading into the backcountry alone, I don't think twice. My whole life has been about taking care of people. It’s the only way I know how to matter.

But Sloane wants to save herself. And somewhere between shared tents and trail mix confessions, I realize the woman I came to protect might be the one who finally sees me as something more than what I can give.

I just have to convince her I'm worth the risk.

Someone to Claim is Book 7 and the finale of The Skylark Series. Each book is a steamy small-town standalone with a guaranteed HEA, so you can jump in anywhere. If you love second-chance romance, age gap, grumpy/sunshine, and all the emotions, this one's for you.

One (or more) Sentence Summary:  Someone to Claim is the last book in the Skylark Series and it did not disappoint.  Saving Sloane for the last book made the most sense given she was the one that started the bucket list challenge with the book club.  I am so happy Sloane finally got her story.

Jensen is PERFECT for Sloane too! I absolutely loved it.  Everything from them meeting before to reconnecting to the trek through woods (which I thought was fun).  Ohhhh and the song he wrote after meeting her the first time.....swoon worthy!

Someone to Claim was a perfect end to the series and even though Sloane is in every book in the series, the focus was perfectly on her and her challenge.  I really enjoyed the twist of meeting her favorite author that wrote the book that turned Sloane's life around.

You do not have to read the books in order, but it does help as the characters build through out the series.  However, they will also work very well as standalone. Michelle Major is an author I will keep my eye for her new releases. The Skylark Series is the first series of Michelle's that I have read and really enjoyed everyone one as well as Michelle's writing!  I still need to check out all her other books/series. I am thinking the Carolina Girls Series might be the next one calling my name.

I still want to find my own cute town of Skylark and a group of amazing book club friends!
